In agriculture & animal husbandry department student introduces to make vermicompost in vermicompost bed.
In last year students were filled the vermicompost bed with waste leaves, waste food, cow dung and other decomposing material in the vermicompost bed along with earthworm. In July month all wastes were decomposed and vermicompost becomes ready for selling.
Total 250 Kg. vermicompost were prepared in this bed. The students had packed it in a polythene bag of 1 kg. & 5 kg. & also sold to the community at the rate of Rs. 7 per kg. Total 250 kg vermicompost were sold & received Rs. 1750 as a community service.
This packaged vermicompost they also sold in the exhibition by putting a stall at Vigyan Ashram Pabal on 30th July.
